David Gilberg is of counsel and practices primarily in the area of derivatives and trading-related matters, including regulation of derivative products and market participants, registration, compliance and regulation under the Commodity Exchange Act and the Dodd-Frank Act, regulation of swap dealers and swap transactions; development of clearing systems, exchanges and electronic trading facilities for the trading of derivatives; regulation of hedge funds and other private funds and managed vehicles, development of financial indices and indexed products and related matters. He has authored a number of articles on derivatives regulation and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. David graduated from Harvard Law School in 1981 and from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978.
