Bachir Karam is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Estates and Personal Group. He represents wealthy individuals and families in connection with their personal and business affairs, including sophisticated tax and estate planning matters, trust and estate administration and controversy, the structuring of private business and investment entities, charitable giving, and a broad range of personal legal matters.
In 2019, Mr. Karam was named a fellow by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. He is a member of the Firm’s Diversity Committee, and also is a member of the Committee on Estate and Gift Taxation of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Karam is co-chair of the Firm’s New York-Presbyterian Hospital Volunteer Program, which provides pro bono estate planning services to low-income clients.
