André Garcia do Fôjo is an associate in Sullivan & Cromwell’s European Competition Group. He advises clients on all aspects of competition and EU law, including merger control, foreign investment reviews, antitrust investigations, litigation in the EU Courts, foreign subsidies, state aid, and digital markets. Prior to joining S&C, André was a référendaire (legal adviser) to Judge Rosario Silva de Lapuerta, Vice-President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, where he worked on cases pending in the Court of Justice of the European Union, including interim measures and matters relating to competition, regulatory, and state aid. He is fluent in Portuguese, French and English.
André is qualified in Portugal and in New York.
