    Alexa LaMarche is an associate in Sullivan and Cromwell’s Litigation Group. Ms. LaMarche has litigated a broad range of matters, including complex commercial, antitrust, and securities litigation. Her practice also focuses on internal and government investigations, including by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Department of Justice.

    Experience

    • Audit Committee of Cronos Group Inc., a global cannabis company, in a multi-year investigation involving two restatements of its financial statements. Subsequently represented Cronos in resolving investigation by the SEC that resulted in a rare settlement involving securities fraud with a zero financial penalty in which the SEC credited the company’s extensive cooperation
    • Technology company in responding to the cyber theft of its source code, including notification to millions of customers, coordination with law enforcement, and conducting an internal investigation
    • Global financial institution in FINRA arbitration against former employee for breach of contract claim resulting in multi-million dollar award
    • Board of Directors of financial services company against claims of breach of fiduciary duties in putative shareholder class action
