Frank Aquila Discusses M&A Market on Bloomberg Radio’s "Taking Stock"
June 28, 2012On June 28, Mr. Aquila was interviewed on the current state of the M&A market by Bloomberg's Courtney Donohoue and Alex Sherman on Bloomberg Radio's "Taking Stock." Mr. Aquila discussed the M&A market during this past quarter and noted a general downturn of the M&A market and record low premiums on deals. Mr. Aquila also commented on the future of the M&A market, noting that an increased level of certainty following upcoming elections in the United States and resolution of the issue facing the eurozone economy will likely lead to an increase in M&A activity, particularly cross-border deals. When asked about the impact of tough antitrust regulation in the United States on large M&A deals, Mr. Aquila responded, “[antitrust regulations] will be a factor, but it's not going to mean the end of big M&A.”
