Federal Bar Council Program Committee's Sanctions Enforcement Program

On June 4, Mr. Bourtin served as a panelist at the Sanctions Enforcement Program put on by the Federal Bar Council's Programs Committee. The panel discussed the complex U.S. sanctions regimes that individuals and multinational corporations face when conducting business with certain foreign individuals, entities, and governments. The panel also discussed recent civil and criminal enforcement actions based on violations of economic and trade sanctions, the risks that businesses face in this area, and how businesses can mitigate those risks.
