On November 23, Mr. Trevino spoke on a panel at Columbia Law School titled, “Compensation During the Financial Crisis: Behind the Scenes at AIG.” Panelists shared their perspectives on the Treasury’s work and their experiences working with the executives and boards of the big seven TARP recipients. They debated the theoretical value of regulation, the approach to and results of the special master’s efforts to control executive pay, and the current and future impact of the financial crisis on executive compensation.
