On September 15, Mr. Korb participated on the panel, “Settlements and the Exercise of Discretion,” at the the Institute for Fiscal Studies Conference: HMRC and the Taxpayer, held at Cambridge University. Mr. Korb spoke on the process of settling tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at the examination, appeals and litigation stages, and in particular, he discussed his experience as IRS chief counsel in settling high profile cases on behalf of the U.S. government.
