8th Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions

On October 13 and 14, Mr. Aquila, Mr. Cohen, Mr. Eitel, Mr. Frumkin and Mr. Kotran spoke at the 8th Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions in New York City. The conference was co-sponsored by Penn State Law and the City Bar Center for CLE of the New York City Bar. On October 13, Mr. Cohen served as the institute co-chair and delivered the keynote address, describing his view of M&A activity for the upcoming year. Also on October 13, Mr. Eitel spoke on a panel titled, “Acquisitions in the Financial Services Industry, including Consolidation among Stock and Other Exchanges,” Mr. Aquila contributed to a panel titled, “Impact of the Delaware Chancery Court’s Decision in Del Monte on PE and Other Deals, Including Perspectives on Stapled Financing” and Mr. Frumkin lead the discussion, “SEC Developments Regarding M&A, including Perspectives on Activist Shareholders.” On October 14, Mr. Kotran spoke on the panel, “Navigating Investment Banker Issues in M&A Transactions.” The conference focused on corporate, securities, tax, antitrust, and other legal and economic issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions.
