University of Toronto Faculty of Law alumni practice within a broad range of areas under our General Practice (corporate) and Litigation Groups in our New York and London offices. Don Crawshaw, a 1982 graduate of U of T Law and native of Ontario, leads the Firm’s recruiting efforts at the law school. Don, who is a member of the Firm’s Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, Investment Management and Commodities and Derivatives Groups, has been active on matters for Canadian and U.S. clients throughout his career.
Two U of T Law alumni are Partners in S&C’s London office. Stewart Robertson (U of T Law ’86), who has also spent time in the Firm’s New York and Paris offices, is Co-Head of its Global Project Development and Finance Group, and Presley Warner (U of T Law ’91) served as co-editor-in-chief of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and is now head of the Firm’s European Credit and Leveraged Finance Practice.
In addition to becoming partners at the Firm, U of T Law alumni who join S&C go on to pursue a range of prestigious opportunities in the United States, Canada and Europe. S&C alumni who attended U of T Law work in finance, government (including for the Department of Justice Canada and the Competition Bureau Canada) and private practice, among other fields.
