The Tokyo office was established in 1987 and has developed a leading reputation in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and financial regulatory matters. We are involved in a wide range of the most high-profile transactions related to Japan, including the biggest IPOs and other securities offerings. Learn more about our practice here.
We are located in the Otemachi/Marunouchi area, steps away from Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace grounds. This is the financial and business center of Japan, home to many of Japan’s largest financial institutions and corporations, as well as many of the leading law firms and international investment banks.
Our Tokyo office is interested in hiring U.S.-qualified lawyers directly out of law school or with experience in capital markets and/or mergers and acquisitions.
Associates must be proficient in Japanese, but native-level fluency is not required. A private Japanese language lesson is offered once a week. English lessons are available for associates who are native Japanese speakers.
