June Hu, Special Counsel in S&C’s General Practice Group and Coordinator of the Firm’s global ESG Practice, was named a “Responsible Business Distinguished Adviser” in Financier Worldwide’s 2026 Power Players List, which recognizes leading practitioners in ESG, sustainability and corporate governance.
In a Q&A with the magazine, June highlighted the SEC’s efforts to streamline obligations for public companies, and the growing state-level response, as the developments most likely to reshape responsible business practices. “As we monitor developments on sustainability and governance topics from the federal government, companies should also pay attention to how these changes affect the global legal and policy landscape.”
Reflecting on her mentorship role at S&C, June emphasized the importance of engaging younger colleagues in “thought partnership.” “Thought partnership is particularly crucial to deliver the best work product for our clients on responsible business matters. … Not only do these opportunities give younger colleagues the space to openly share their ideas and build confidence, but … this approach can help uncover what individuals find most valuable in their work.”
