WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 15, 2026) – Sullivan & Cromwell LLP announced today that Carla Hine has joined the firm as a partner in its Antitrust Group, resident in its Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Hine brings extensive experience advising clients on the antitrust aspects of complex mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures including compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act.

Ms. Hine counsels on a broad range of antitrust matters, including merger review, HSR compliance, competitor collaborations, information-sharing issues, interlocking directorate restrictions, trade association participation and distribution practices. She regularly represents clients before U.S. antitrust agencies and has significant experience in government investigations before the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice. Ms. Hine’s practice spans a wide range of industries, including private equity, consumer products, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, defense, oil and gas, technology and sports.

Ms. Hine is an active leader within the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, where she currently serves as Co-Chair of Committee Operations and has been nominated to the Council for 2026–2029. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Section’s Mergers & Acquisitions Committee. Ms. Hine earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from the University of Florida.
