LONDON (JANUARY 9, 2026) – Sullivan & Cromwell LLP announced today that Patrick Clancy will join the firm in its London office. Mr. Clancy is a leader in derivatives and structured products, and has a broad practice advising a diverse client base comprising leading financial institutions, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, investment funds, private equity sponsors and managers, corporates and financial infrastructure providers.

Mr. Clancy’s experience spans a wide range of complex financial products, including derivatives, with particular depth in credit default swaps and equity linked products, as well as related financing structures such as collar financings, margin loans and total return swap facilities. His experience also includes bonds, convertibles, exchangeables, capital issuances, repackagings, securitisations and CLOs.
In addition, Mr. Clancy regularly advises on trading and financing documentation, including prime brokerage and custody arrangements, ISDA documentation, repo and stock lending, as well as letters of credit, standbys, performance bonds and bank guarantees.
