S&C was named an M&A “Practice Group of the Year” by Law360, marking the tenth time the Firm has won this award since 2013. In an interview with the publication, Melissa Sawyer and Andrew Gerlach, Co-Heads of the Firm’s global M&A Group, said the Firm’s expertise in cross-border transactions across sectors enabled it to handle some of the largest and most complex deals of 2025.
Last year, S&C advised on “a range of significant transactions for our clients across a wide range of industries, which I think is a real reflection of our overall practice,” Andrew said.
The Firm recently advised Discover on its $50.6 billion merger with Capital One; AT&T on its $23 billion acquisition of Spectrum Licenses from EchoStar; and Merck KGaA on its $3.9 billion acquisition of SpringWorks Therapeutics.
S&C was named a “Firm of the Year” for its showing in these awards, with six practices selected.
