S&C’s M&A Financial Advisory Practice led all law firms in global financial advisory M&A transactions in the first quarter of 2026, advising on $98 billion of announced deals, according to Bloomberg. From 2016 to Q1 2026, S&C has counseled financial advisers on more than 500 M&A transactions totaling more than $2.3 trillion in deal value.
The Firm advised Barclays, BofA Securities, Centerview Partners, Citigroup, Evercore, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Moelis & Company, Rothschild & Co and Wells Fargo in their capacity as financial advisers in announced M&A matters during the first quarter of 2026. These matters include advising:
- Rothschild & Co as financial adviser to McCormick & Company in its pending $44.8 billion combination with Unilever PLC's Foods business excluding India and other excluded businesses;
- Goldman Sachs as financial adviser to Equitable Holdings in its pending $19.23 billion combination with Corebridge Financial;
- Centerview Partners as financial adviser to OneStream in its pending $6.4 billion acquisition by Hg;
- Citigroup Global Markets and Goldman Sachs as financial advisers to Allfunds in its pending $6 billion acquisition by Deutsche Börse;
- Goldman Sachs as financial adviser to Valaris in its pending $5.5 billion acquisition by Transocean;
- Evercore as financial adviser to Apellis Pharmaceuticals in its pending $5.25 billion acquisition by Biogen;
- Moelis & Company as financial adviser to Tri Pointe Homes in its pending $4.4 billion acquisition by Sumitomo Forestry;
- Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE as financial adviser to Klöckner & Co in its pending $2.4 billion acquisition by Worthington Steel GmbH;
- BofA Securities as financial adviser to Modine Manufacturing in its pending $1 billion spin-off and combination of its Performance Technologies business with Gentherm in a Reverse Morris Trust transaction; and
- Barclays as financial adviser to Allegiant in its pending $934 million merger with Sun Country Airlines.
