Michelle is a partner in S&C’s Financial Services Group. With a practice spanning high-stakes M&A and U.S. bank regulatory matters, she has played pivotal roles in some of the most significant financial institutions matters in recent years, including advising Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group on the sale of MUFG Union Bank’s U.S. core regional banking franchise to U.S. Bancorp; M&T Bank in its $8.3 billion acquisition of People’s United Financial; Fiserv in its $22 billion acquisition of First Data; and Capital One in reorganizations of its U.S. banking operations. This year, Michelle represented Otto Bremer Trust in the $1.4 billion sale of Bremer Financial to Old National.
