S&C was named “Bankruptcy Firm of the Year” at Benchmark Litigation’s 2025 U.S. Awards. The awards recognize “the country’s most distinguished litigators and their firms for their exemplary work over the past 12 months.”
S&C has played a leading role in some of the largest and most complicated restructuring cases in recent years. S&C’s global restructuring practice focuses on strategic restructuring transactions, in and out of court, as well as related litigation. Recent accomplishments include advising:
- FTX Trading on its landmark bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation, which culminated in its emergence from Chapter 11 in January, just over two years after its collapse and bankruptcy filing;
- SVB Financial Group, the former parent company of Silicon Valley Bank, in Chapter 11 proceedings and related litigation stemming from the third largest bank failure in U.S. history and its emergence from bankruptcy; and
- Kidde-Fenwal in the first-ever Chapter 11 case aiming to resolve national mass tort liability related to “forever chemicals.”
