A partner in S&C’s Litigation Group, Adam has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on a variety of complex business litigation matters, with particular concentration on antitrust matters. Recently, in a high-profile case, he advised Canadian Pacific in its $31 billion deal for Kansas City Southern, defeating a competing bid by Canadian National. In the last year, he also secured antitrust clearances for clients such as Amgen, DISH/Echostar and Nippon Steel.
David Rein for Litigation: Securities
David is Deputy Managing Partner of S&C’s Litigation Group and represents leading corporations and financial institutions in complex litigation and regulatory investigations in securities, tax controversy and other commercial matters. He has advised U.S. and non-U.S. clients on some of the country’s most pivotal securities litigation matters, including obtaining recent dismissals for Citigroup, Cronos Group, Ericsson, Goldman Sachs and Indivior and represents FirstEnergy, one of the nation’s largest electricity distributors, in securities litigation stemming from allegations of public corruption is Ohio.
Jeannette Bander for Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation
Jeannette is a partner in S&C’s General Practice Group. Her practice focuses on executive compensation and corporate governance matters arising in private equity and public company mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. In the past year, Jeannette has advised SVB Financial Group and FTX Trading on executive compensation matters in connection to their landmark Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. She also advised Neiman Marcus Group on executive compensation matters related to its $2.65 billion acquisition by Hudson Bay Company, the parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue.
Mehdi Ansari for Intellectual Property: Patent: Transactional
Mehdi is Co-Head of S&C’s Intellectual Property and Technology Group and the Firm’s Artificial Intelligence Practice. Mehdi’s practice focuses on advising clients on a range of transactions involving intellectual property and technology, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licenses, collaborations, research and development agreements, settlements and strategic advice. Last year, Mehdi advised Discover on intellectual property matters in its $35.3 billion all-stock merger with Capital One as well as Robert Bosch GmbH in its pending $8 billion acquisition of the HVAC solutions business from Johnson Controls.
