Keiji Hatano, the Managing Partner of S&C’s Tokyo Office, was recognized by Asian Legal Business as the “Managing Partner of the Year” at the Japan Law Awards. In the past year, Keiji has advised clients on a number of high-profile transactions in diverse practice areas including capital markets to M&A to financial services. Under Keiji’s leadership, S&C’s Tokyo Office has expanded the focus of its practice beyond capital markets to include a significant presence in M&A and financial services.
S&C also was recognized for “Equity Market Deal of the Year” for its work for Toshiba Corporation in Kioxia Holdings Corporation’s ¥120.4 billion IPO and “M&A Deal of the Year (Premium)” for its work on Bosch’s $8 billion acquisition of the residential and light commercial HVAC business from Johnson Controls and Hitachi.
