Sullivan & Cromwell LLP announced that John Horsfield-Bradbury has been elected Managing Partner of S&C’s London office, succeeding Richard Pollack.

John, who is also a New York-qualified lawyer, has been recognised as one of Financial News’ 2025 “Fifty Most Influential Lawyers”, an elite ranking of lawyers and senior leaders across Europe, and a “Client Service All-Star” in M&A and Capital Markets by BTI.
A partner since 2017, John has extensive experience in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities for a wide range of issuers. He is also actively involved in advising issuers listed in the United States on wide-variety of corporate governance matters.
John has worked on a number of standout and market defining transactions of recent times such as advising e& in its acquisition of a controlling stake in PPF Telecom Group’s assets, and AB InBev’s £79 billion takeover of SAB Miller—which at the time was the largest ever takeover of a British company and the third-largest ever corporate takeover ever completed. He also regularly advises a number of the world’s largest organisations including bp on all aspects of its US listing and over $13 billion hybrid bond offerings, offerings of over $60 billion of U.S.-registered senior notes and debt liability management exercises, The Goldman Sachs Group on over $50 billion of its notes offerings, SoftBank Group Corp on its investments in Alibaba, Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile, and the UBS Group AG on its merger with Credit Suisse Group AG, amongst others.
