Andrei Iancu has been selected for The Burton Foundation’s “Distinguished Legal Writing Award,” which recognizes the 20 best articles published in the past year by lawyers in the United States. Andrei was honored for his article “The Bayh-Dole Act and the Debate Over ‘Reasonable Price’ March-In Rights,” which he co-authored with former S&C associate Cooper Godfrey. The article, published by The Federalist Society, examines how the act promotes the commercialization of discoveries made by researchers who have received federal funds.
This marks the twenty-second consecutive year that an S&C lawyer has won The Burton Award, excluding a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
