Kyle Mach has been named to the Daily Journal’s “Top Antitrust Lawyers” list. A former Deputy Director of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition and an experienced trial lawyer, Kyle brings decades of experience from the FTC and private practice to his representation of clients in a range of complex litigation, merger clearance, antitrust counseling and regulatory matters.
Recently, Kyle represented Discover Financial Services in connection with private antitrust claims seeking to block Discover’s $50.6 billion merger with Capital One; FirstEnergy Co. in defending claims that U.S. nuclear power operators conspired to suppress employee wages; and Western Alliance Bank in defending claims involving class-action banking practices.
“To be successful in antitrust matters, you must understand not only your clients’ business, but also the competitive landscape they face," Kyle told the Daily Journal. “Each new antitrust matter is an opportunity to learn about a new industry and its competitive dynamics, and it is a real privilege to have such variety in one’s work.”
