Pedro José Izquierdo, Special Counsel in S&C’s Litigation Group and member of the Firm’s Latin America and International Arbitration and Global Dispute Resolution practices, was named ‘Up and Coming’ in the Chambers Latin America 2025 Guide for International Arbitration.
Pedro José’s practice encompasses commercial, investment and construction disputes around the world under the major international arbitration rules, representing both large private entities and sovereign States. He is currently representing CODELCO, the world’s largest copper producer, in two arbitrations against Ecuador and a state-owned mining company arising out of the development of one of the potentially largest copper mining projects in the world. He also is representing a Sempra Energy affiliate in an ICC arbitration involving a dispute with customers arising from an LNG liquefaction project.
