Lauren is a partner in S&C’s General Practice Group and has played integral roles in some of the biggest recent media and entertainment deals. Lauren has advised the Madison Square Garden companies on a number of transactions, including the recent spin-off by Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. of its traditional live entertainment business. Lauren played an integral role in advising long-time S&C client AT&T on its landmark $43 billion merger of WarnerMedia with Discovery, including overseeing a multi-disciplinary S&C team and closely advising AT&T on related governance matters. She is also part of the S&C team advising the Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball on corporate matters in connection with Diamond Sports Group’s bankruptcy. A partner in the Firm’s General Practice Group, Rich has spearheaded multiple important and high-value deals in the sports and betting field. Most recently, he advised Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai in the sale of a significant minority stake in the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty and Barclays Center to Julia Koch and her family. Rich regularly represents Major League Baseball in a wide variety of matters, including its $900 million sale of its 15 percent interest in BAMTech to Disney as well as numerous other key ownership, governance, media and transactional matters. Rich also has extensive experience with major sports sponsorship transactions (e.g., AB InBev’s partnership with FIFA for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ and the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and UBS’s 20-year naming rights agreement for UBS Arena) and sports-anchored real estate development projects (e.g., the Atlanta Hawks investment in Centennial Yards and the San Francisco Giants/Tishman Speyer development of Mission Rock). Lenny is a partner in S&C’s Securities Litigation Practice. Lenny represents clients including AT&T, Citigroup, Discover, and Wells Fargo in major securities and derivative litigation. Lenny has played an integral role in obtaining dismissals of several stock-drop actions alleging billions of dollars in damages and in successfully getting those dismissals affirmed on appeal, including in parallel cases filed in state and federal New York courts against AT&T relating to its former DIRECTV NOW streaming service.
