S&C was recognized for its achievements in Outbound M&A and in the Automotive, Industrials & Manufacturing industry at the China Business Law awards, which recognize the best Chinese and international law firms for the China market. The winners were chosen from hundreds of nominations received from China-focused corporate counsel and legal professionals around the world, as well as nominations from government institutions, the judiciary and academia.
S&C continues to partner with clients to tap into new businesses and markets in a legal and strategic perspective. In the electric vehicle area, S&C is assisting Foxconn to enter the EV business through a number of cross-border acquisitions in Europe and advised XPeng on its strategic partnership with DiDi Global relating to a new smart EV model being developed by DiDi, making XPeng the first vehicle company to receive full support from DiDi’s ecosystem. In the outbound M&A area, S&C recently advised AcBel Polytech in its acquisition of ABB Power Conversion, allowing AcBel to grow its customer base in the U.S., and helped Taiwan Cement Corporation in raising stakes in Turkey and Portugal, enhancing its international eco-friendly positioning.
