For achieving several major trial victories spanning several disparate practice areas, the National Law Journal has named Dustin Guzior a finalist for its annual “Winning Litigator” award, which is the NLJ’s award for the top litigator of the year. His recent accomplishments include representing:
- Bayer in achieving complete defense victories against BASF in ICC arbitration and Merck in the Delaware Court of Chancery (victories affirmed, respectively, by Germany’s and Delaware’s Supreme Courts);
- Columbia University in a patent dispute with Gen Digital (formerly NortonLifeLock) in which Dustin obtained a jury verdict and judgment for Columbia that yielded one of the largest patent awards in history;
- Ocado in winning a pivotal victory against rival AutoStore in the U.S. International Trade Commission and leading a countersuit that resulted in a more than $200 million settlement for Ocado; and
- Signify as post-verdict triage counsel in obtaining one of the largest remittiturs on record (a 60 percent remittitur of a $100 million verdict in a negligence action).
