Julia Malkina, Kathleen McArthur, Inosi Nyatta, Camille Orme, Sarah Payne and Morgan Ratner have been shortlisted for Women in Business Law Awards by Euromoney Legal Media Group. The awards recognize women and firms that “have impressive initiatives to promote diversity and women in the legal industry.”
S&C’s partners are finalists in the following practice areas:
- Julia Malkina is shortlisted for Securities Litigator of the Year. S&C chose Julia to Co-Lead the Firm’s Securities Litigation Group—one of the premier practices in the country—after only one year as a partner in January 2021.
- Kathleen McArthur is shortlisted for White Collar Crime Lawyer of the Year. As Co-Head of S&C’s Securities & Commodities Investigations practice and the Firm’s Commodities, Futures & Derivatives practice, Katy has advised some of the world’s biggest companies on major matters involving complex financial products and physical commodities, including enforcement inquiries, internal investigations and commercial litigation.
- Inosi Nyatta is shortlisted for Project Finance Lawyer of the Year. Inosi serves as Co-Head of S&C’s global Project Development & Finance practice. As one of the world’s top project finance lawyers, Inosi works on innovative financing techniques for projects that often provide desperately needed infrastructure to developing regions.
- Camille Orme is shortlisted for Financial Regulation Lawyer of the Year. Camille, Co-Head of S&C’s industry-leading Bank Regulatory practice, advises U.S. and non-U.S. financial institutions on a wide range of U.S. banking laws and regulations.
- Sarah Payne is shortlisted for Debt Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year. Sarah is the Managing Partner of S&C’s Palo Alto office and the Co-Head of the Firm’s Capital Markets Group, which in 2022 was top-ranked for issuer’s counsel globally, advising on debt and equity offerings totaling more than $216 billion.
- Morgan Ratner is shortlisted for Litigation Rising Star. Morgan is a member of the Firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice and has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court nine times, including in important cases involving religious freedom, patent law and legislative standing.
The awards will be presented on June 8.
