Wendy M. Goldberg has been named this year’s recipient of Sullivan & Cromwell’s Alexandra D. Korry Award.
The award, established in 2021, honors the memory and legacy of the late S&C partner Alexandra D. Korry. A passionate leader, a dedicated mentor and one of the first women partners in S&C’s M&A group, Alexandra was a trailblazer throughout her legal career. To honor that legacy, the Alexandra D. Korry Award recognizes an individual, nominated by a member of the S&C community, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to the advancement of women at S&C and in the legal profession during the preceding year.
Wendy, a member of the Firm’s Financial Institutions Group, has demonstrated throughout her career superlative commitment to fostering community, mentoring and serving as a resource to women from their first days as junior associates.
“I am delighted to receive this award honoring Alexandra,” said Wendy. “She was a colleague I admired not just for her legal acumen and dealmaking skills, but because she was such a deeply interesting person and a great supporter of women at this Firm. I know it was important to her to help the next generation of women lawyers realize their potential, and it is for me, too. One of the most rewarding parts of my work at S&C is helping lawyers grow into leaders.”
