Three S&C
Capital Markets matters were named as finalists for this year’s Australasian Law Awards. In the Debt Market Deal of the Year category, S&C took home two Excellence Awards: for the $2.2 billion Amcor Finance and Bemis Company exchange offering involving two of the world’s largest packaging companies, where S&C represented the financial institution dealer managers; and for a $1.5 billion notes offering by client National Australia Bank, which was made after Australia’s prudential regulators issued new capital rules last year.
In the Equity Market Deal of the Year category, S&C was recognized for its work as U.S. counsel to Tyro Payments in their IPO, the largest on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2019.
S&C’s
Australia practice provides U.S.-law advice on capital markets financings and securities offerings by Australian and New Zealand issuers. With extensive experience in high-value transactions, S&C has become the region's leading international law firm in this area. As evidence of this, S&C is consistently ranked #1 in league tables as issuer’s counsel in Australian international bond offerings by number of deals and by total proceeds.
