Sullivan & Cromwell was named “European Legal Adviser of the Year” by
Mergermarket’s European M&A Awards 2020, which recognize legal and financial advisers’ excellence in M&A deals in Europe.
The awards highlighted S&C’s advisory work on market-leading matters, including Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in its pending 50/50 merger with Peugeot, poised to create the world’s third- largest automaker by revenue, valued at $38 billion;
Tiffany & Co. in its pending $16 billion merger with LVMH, the largest deal in the luxury retail sector; and
EssilorLuxottica in its pending €7 billion acquisition of a majority interest in the Netherlands’ GrandVision.
