On January 29, 2019, S&C was named “U.S. Transactions Firm of the Year” at the inaugural Global IP Awards. Winners were selected by the IP Media Group, which publishes IAM and World Trademark Review. The Global IP Awards honor “outstanding achievement in IP litigation, prosecution and transactional work.” S&C was honored for its transactional work in 2018, which included advising on intellectual property matters related to Amazon.com, Inc’s acquisition of Whole Foods; AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner; Bayer AG’s acquisition of Monsanto and the sale of its crop science businesses to BASF; and many others.
