Morgan Ratner, Partner in S&C’s Litigation Group and member of the Firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice, was identified by Law360 as one of 12 oral advocates who are poised to be the leaders of the Supreme Court bar’s next generation. The selected lawyers have argued before the Supreme Court multiple times, have argued recently and could still be arguing decades from now, and constitute the bar’s next generation of top talent.
Among the youngest lawyers on the list, Morgan shared her outlook for appellate lawyers. She noted that, even outside the Supreme Court, circuit courts continue to be busy and clients will always need top-level advice. She added that there may be fewer overall arguments before the Supreme Court, “but there’s still going to be a class of people who, in the important cases, can add real value.”
