In an interview with The National Law Journal, Tony Lewis, who co-heads S&C’s recently announced National Security Practice along with Sharon Cohen Levin, Nicky Friedlander, Eric Kadel and Craig Jones, spoke about the Firm’s work in this area. He noted that, though the Firm has advised on sanctions and AML-related enforcement action work for many years, formalizing the practice better enables S&C to extend this advice to clients in other industries that the government increasingly views as significant to U.S. national security. “Really, the establishment of this practice is bringing together the different types of work that we have been doing for different clients in one place so that we can be coherent about it and present cohesive advice to our clients on national security and foreign policy issues,” he said.
