Sullivan & Cromwell’s new National Security Practice advises clients in matters relating to the increased use of economic sanctions, anti-money laundering laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, foreign investment regulations, and focus on strategic technology and export controls, as reported by Law360.
Anthony Lewis and Adam Szubin, Co-Head and member of the National Security Practice, respectively, discussed the extensive experience of lawyers across the new group. “Having worked on those types of matters in government helps us advise our clients with the benefit of how the government views sensitive national security issues," Anthony said. “S&C has long been doing work in this area [and] by assembling S&C's extensive national security expertise under one umbrella, we can better serve our clients as they face increasingly challenging geopolitical issues,” said Adam.
