Michael Escue, a partner in S&C’s Financial Services Group, was featured in an alumni profile in West Virginia University Magazine’s “Successors” series. The article, “Banking on the Future,” traces Michael’s path from his days as a student at West Virginia University, where he earned dual degrees from its College of Law and Business School.
Michael attributes his strong work ethic to his parents and his experience at WVU. “To succeed in the legal industry, you need to work harder than most people, and that’s something ingrained in me from my time at WVU.” Michael added that he was fortunate to have mentors who pushed him to take control of his professional career and to continue his education at the WVU College of Law after graduating from the Business School.
Michael now serves on the WVU Foundation Board of Directors, enabling him to give back to the University and the state of West Virginia. In 2018, he established the Ronald E. and Jo Ann Reynolds Escue Neurology Endowment, named for his parents.
