Sullivan & Cromwell was profiled by The American Lawyer for winning its “Corporate Practice of the Year” award, beating out nine finalists. The award, given every two years, recognizes the Firm’s work for clients on the cutting edge of their industries who turn to us for novel solutions to complex problems. The profile highlighted that S&C is advising clients “on multiple matters that could very well define this decade, and decades to come.”
The article also highlighted S&C’s generalist approach, which “cultivates a ‘fearlessness’ in younger lawyers,” who learn a broad set of skills rather than specializing early. “[We] really promote the idea of our lawyers being versatile—we don’t have silos or siloed practices,” S&C Co-Chair Scott Miller told The American Lawyer. “[We] encourage all of our lawyers and partners to follow the market to some degree, and also develop and follow relationships with clients that aren’t limited to a particular practice area or particular type of transaction.”
