Dalia Blass, S&C’s Senior Investment Management Partner, was featured in The Securities Compliance podcast Compliance in Context, where she reviewed the recent rule proposal from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on predictive data analytics technologies.
Dalia, who previously served as Director of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, discussed some of the significant compliance challenges associated with the PDA rule proposal. “The issue of this proposal is that it is incredibly broad. When you look at what the SEC is trying to achieve with addressing the conflicts of interest associated with the use of predictive data analytics, it becomes too much from a practical compliance perspective,” Dalia notes.
