Long term client Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), a liquefied natural gas company and Australia’s largest producer of coal seam gas, completed a US$591 million term loan refinancing of a portion of its existing project finance debt.
The S&C team advising APLNG included Inosi Nyatta, Jonathon Hannah, Siddhant Iyer and trainee solicitor Jenna Park.
This most recent engagement marks the continuation of S&C’s longstanding relationship with APLNG, which dates back to 2009, when the Firm advised on APLNG’s US$20 billion LNG project in Queensland. S&C represented APLNG on the company’s initial project financing of US$8.5 billion in 2012; the refinancing through offerings of senior secured notes pursuant to U.S. private placements for an aggregate principal amount of US$2 billion in 2018 and 2019; and the refinancing of a portion of its project finance debt pursuant to a US$2.55 billion term loan facility in 2019.
