Cheniere Energy completed its $1.75 billion senior notes offering, consisting of $1 billion of 5.2% Senior Notes due 2036 and $750 million of 6% Senior Notes due 2056.
The proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment, refinancing or redemption of Cheniere’s and its subsidiaries’ existing indebtedness, funding capital expenditures, working capital and other business opportunities.
Cheniere is a Houston-based energy company primarily engaged in LNG-related businesses. Its major assets consist of two LNG terminals facilities located on the U.S. Gulf Coast, including a natural gas liquefaction facility and associated pipeline near Corpus Christi, Texas.
