The founding shareholders of Munich Electrification have entered into a share purchase agreement providing for the sale of Munich Electrification to global private investment firm Ardian. As part of the transaction, the founders will reinvest a portion of the purchase price via roll-over, and the management team of Munich Electrification will also invest alongside Ardian and the founders.
Munich Electrification is a globally leading independent battery technology company that develops battery management systems, sensor technology and software for electric mobility and battery energy storage systems.
The S&C team advising the founding shareholders is led by Carsten Berrar, Stephan Rauch and Silke Jurczyga and includes Tillmann Dehner and Homeyra Hosseini Ghahi. Max Birke and Florian Späth are advising on financing matters and private equity-specific matters, respectively.
