Sportradar, a leading global sports technology company, earned merger clearance from the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for its acquisition of IMG ARENA and its global sports betting rights portfolio from Endeavor Group and OB Global Holdings.
In a rare approval of a “failing firm” argument, the CMA accepted the argument that IMG Arena would have otherwise exited the UK market without the acquisition.
The acquisition brings more than 70 rightsholders, delivering 38,000 official data events and 29,000 streaming events across 14 global sports on six continents to Sportradar. With this addition, Sportradar sports coverage totals more than 1 million matches annually.
