The San Francisco 49ers announced an investment in the NFL team by three local Bay Area families including the Khosla family, led by Vinod and Neal Khosla. The Khosla family is acquiring a minority interest in the club, which will help fund the continued growth of the 49ers organization and new opportunities.
Vinod Khosla is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems and current managing director of Khosla Ventures. Neal Khosla is the CEO and founder of Curai, an artificial intelligence-enabled primary care company.
The S&C team representing the Khosla family included Joe Shenker, Ivan Deutsch, Rich Le Page, Andrew Ferry and Garrett Mealey. David Spitzer and Jackson Mariotti advised on tax matters.
