China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited (Mengniu), one of China’s leading dairy products producers and a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, completed its first RMB-denominated sustainability bond offering of RMB 3.5 billion ($490 million). The offering consisted of 5-year RMB 2 billion sustainability bonds and 10-year RMB 1.5 billion sustainability bonds. The bonds are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Mengniu is a long-term client of S&C. S&C has advised Mengniu on eight bond offerings since 2017. S&C also advised Mengniu on various M&A and other transactions.
