AXA IM Alts, the alternative investment arm of AXA Investment Managers with more than €184 billion of assets under management, has agreed to acquire CAPZA, a European mid-market private debt and equity investment platform with more than €9 billion of assets under management.
The acquisition increases AXA IM Alt’s position from majority stakeholder of CAPZA to full ownership by 2026 and provides the investment management company with global expertise in mid-market direct lending, as well as entry into the private equity leveraged buyout market.
AXA IM Alts serves more than 600 clients and wholesale and private investors in more than 20 countries.
