On September 26, 2024, Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. (SAS), a multinational conglomerate with global footprints spanning across semiconductor, automotive electronics and renewable energy sectors, completed its offering of $284 million global depositary shares (GDSs). The GDSs are listed and traded on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
SAS’ main subsidiary GlobalWafers is the world’s third largest and the largest non-Japanese semiconductor wafer manufacturer. In recent years SAS has expanded the business footprints along the semiconductor value chain such as specialty gases and compound materials and penetrated into automotive electronics and renewable energy sectors. In the semiconductor and automotive electronics sectors, SAS has built a competitive industrial chain through strategic alliances with upstream and downstream players. In the renewable energy sector, SAS focuses on solar, wind and hydro energy, as well as energy storage and energy trading solutions.
