Antofagasta, the parent company of a Chile-based copper mining group with significant production and interests in transportation, completed an offering of $750 million of 6.25% senior unsecured notes due 2034.
Antofagasta will be applying to list the notes on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and the proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.
S&C has advised Antofagasta and its subsidiaries on multiple major financing transactions, including its inaugural $500 million offering of 2.375% senior unsecured notes due 2030 and the 2009 project financing for the original development of what has become the Centinela mine.
