Foxconn Interconnect Technology’s subsidiary, Voltaira Group, a leading supplier of sensor, connectivity and electrification solutions, announced it will acquire Germany-based Auto-Kabel Group, an e-mobility and technology leader in automotive energy distribution and management, for €72.5 million. Auto-Kabel Group is currently undergoing restructuring as part of its insolvency proceedings.
Forming a strategic partnership between the two companies, the acquisition aims to strengthen Voltaira Group's existing electrification portfolio and broaden its customer base.
S&C has advised Foxconn in previous transactions including its acquisition of the Prettl Group (now Voltaira Group), a leading manufacturer of automotive sensor harnesses and connectivity and electrification solutions.
