The Federative Republic of Brazil completed an offering of $2 billion of sustainable bonds due 2032, marking the country’s second sustainable bond issued to international investors. The bonds are listed on the London Stock Exchange and admitted for trading on the London Stock Exchange’s International Securities Market.
Proceeds from the sale of the bonds will be used for repayment of outstanding federal public debt of Brazil and to fund green projects and social expenditures that meet the criteria of the country’s sovereign sustainable bond framework. S&C also advised the underwriters in Brazil’s inaugural $2 billion sustainable bond offering in November 2023.
