Palex Medical (“Palex”) has entered into exclusive negotiations to purchase the Duomed Group. The deal will create a pan-European medtech distribution platform and is a major acquisition by Palex following global private equity firm Apax Partners’ acquisition of a co-controlling interest (alongside pre-existing owners, Fremman Capital) in Palex in December 2023 and on which S&C also advised.
Palex focuses on the marketing, sales and logistics of high value-added medtech equipment and solutions in the Spanish, Portuguese and Italian markets.
Belgium-based Duomed is a European medtech distributor, specializing in endoscopy, surgery, critical care, medical imaging, physiological monitoring and infection control.
